Elite Motion Level 1 · Applied Biomechanics · Certification

You can’t express what you can’t access.

Elite Motion Level 1 is a six-month certification for coaches, practitioners and serious movers who want to understand movement beyond exercises, templates and memorised protocols. Learn to observe a body, reason through what it cannot access, choose a logical first input, teach it clearly, and re-observe whether movement changes.

Format

6-month Level 1 certification with limited intake windows

Theory

Prerecorded so you can digest it in order

Practice

2 weekly practical time slots. One live attendance or replay completion expected

Outcome

Observe, reason, select, teach and re-observe

The problem is not more exercises. It is the reasoning behind them.

Most coaches already have more information than they can use: workshops, certifications, systems, exercises, cues and drills. What is missing is a clear process for understanding the body in front of them.

Elite Motion is not built around collecting more drills. It is built around a lens. A process for observing how a body organises movement, reasoning through what it cannot access, choosing a logical first input, teaching it clearly, and checking whether the movement changes. Exercise selection stops being guesswork and becomes a decision you can explain.

You can’t express what you can’t access.

Biomechanics becomes useful when you can recognise it in real movement, feel it in your own body, and apply it with another person.

From collecting exercises to understanding bodies

Where most people get stuck

  • Learning isolated techniques without knowing when or why to use them
  • Watching clients move but not knowing what the body is failing to access
  • Changing exercises without changing the underlying organisation
  • Over-focusing on symptoms instead of the system
  • Jumping between methods without a clear decision-making process
  • Trying to force change when the body is not ready to accept it

What you learn to build

  • The eye to see weight shifts, rotations, pressure and compensation
  • The ability to feel the positions and strategies yourself
  • The skill to teach movement clearly to another person
  • The reasoning to know what to test, what to address first and why
  • The confidence to select, regress and adapt first-layer interventions
  • The mental framework to make biomechanical change more frictionless

For coaches, practitioners and serious movers with real training experience

The certification is built primarily for coaches, trainers and practitioners who work with bodies. Serious movers may also be a fit if they have enough training experience and want to understand their own biomechanics at a deeper level.

Coaches

For coaches who want to stop relying on random exercises and start understanding why a client moves the way they move.

Practitioners

For trainers, therapists and movement professionals who want a clearer bridge between assessment, coaching application and performance.

Serious Movers

For people who want to use the certification to understand and change their own biomechanics, not only coach someone else.

Who this is not for

  • You want a quick list of drills without learning the reasoning behind them.
  • You are looking for a medical credential, rehab licence or diagnostic qualification.
  • You do not want to practise, film, re-watch, adjust and be coached.
  • You prefer rigid templates over learning how to read the body in front of you.

Who this is for

  • You work with bodies and want a clearer decision-making process.
  • You want to feel the work in your own system before teaching it to someone else.
  • You care about assessment, movement quality and practical coaching application.
  • You are ready to build a deeper lens over six months, not collect another weekend method.

A practical ability, not just a list of topics

Francisco front body composition and posture progress Francisco back body composition and posture progress

Francisco

From a body he could train to a body he could actually use

Gait · pain resolution · return to sport

Before

  • 9/10 plantar fasciitis
  • 7/10 knee pain
  • Torn shoulder with 7/10 pain
  • Stiff spine with restricted rotation
  • Poor sleep, anxious energy and nervous system stuck in overdrive
  • Years of disciplined training building a body he could not use

After

  • Zero pain across all previous sites
  • Runs, jumps, throws and moves freely
  • Playing football, golf and skiing with confidence
  • Plays with his kids without limitation
  • Sleeping better, calmer and more energetic
  • Gained muscle on a body that now actually works

The shift: Francisco did not lack effort. He lacked a foundation. Years of bodybuilding, HIIT and lifting had built capacity on top of a gait that was not working, so everything loaded wrong. We stripped it back to walking, running and basic movement patterns. Once the foundation was right, everything else followed.

"He was extremely disciplined for years. The training was never the problem. The foundation was. Once we fixed how he moved at the base level, everything else he'd built had somewhere solid to sit." - Sebastian Coello

How it works

A Level 1 certification with sequential theory, weekly practical labs, and clear milestones across six months.

Theory in order. Practical work every week.

The theory curriculum is prerecorded so each student can follow the 6-month pathway properly from the beginning. The live practical labs run weekly during each certification cycle and are used to apply, feel, coach and analyse the concepts. Two time slots are offered for the same weekly practical focus, so only one live attendance is expected each week. Students may attend both if they want more repetition.

Prerecorded Theory Classes

All theory classes are prerecorded. This allows people in different time zones and at different levels to digest the material in their own time, revisit it, and follow the pathway in order.

The theory is where the concepts, frameworks, anatomy, fascia, physiology, assessment principles and reasoning process are taught.

Live Practical Labs

The live practicals run every week regardless of class numbers. These are the sessions where we train the body, the eye and the coaching process.

There are two weekly practical time slots for the same practical focus. You only need to attend one live session each week, although you are welcome to attend both. If you cannot attend live, you are expected to watch the recording and provide proof or confirmation of completion.

The practicals are not random workouts. They are applied labs for movement, assessment, coaching and video analysis.

Live practical calls every week

Two weekly time slots are offered for the same practical focus. You are expected to attend one live practical each week, or watch the recording and provide proof or confirmation of completion. You may attend both if you want extra repetition. The practical classes are scheduled in Sydney time, with US and Europe equivalents shown below. Calendar invites should still be used because daylight savings can shift international equivalents.

Monday Practical

7:30–9:00pm
  • Sydney: Monday 7:30–9:00pm AEST
  • Eastern US: Monday 5:30–7:00am ET
  • Central Europe: Monday 11:30am–1:00pm CEST
  • UK: Monday 10:30am–12:00pm BST

Wednesday Practical

7:00–8:30am
  • Sydney: Wednesday 7:00–8:30am AEST
  • Eastern US: Tuesday 5:00–6:30pm ET
  • Central Europe: Tuesday 11:00pm–12:30am CEST
  • UK: Tuesday 10:00–11:30pm BST

Access without chaos

The certification includes support, feedback and direct access, but it needs to be structured so the work stays focused and professional.

Weekly 1:1 Mentoring

Students can use structured booking windows for weekly 15-minute mentoring when they need direct help understanding the work, applying concepts or getting unstuck.

Video & Photo Feedback

Students submit videos and photos of their own movement or client work inside the group spaces for feedback, adjustments and next steps.

Skool & WhatsApp

Support continues outside the calls through Skool and WhatsApp, so questions, doubts and applications can be handled throughout the process.

The way you learn is the way you will coach

The certification is built around the same process that develops movement understanding: seeing a technique, doing it, reasoning through it, teaching it, then finding it in real movement.

01

Technique

Learn the position, pressure, rotation or movement strategy being taught.

02

Embodiment

Feel what the drill changes in your own body, including what assists the movement and what pulls you out of it.

03

Film & Analysis

Use athletic footage, client videos and movement breakdowns to train the eye.

04

Teaching

Practise communicating the concept so another person can feel, understand and apply it.

What you learn to reason through

You are not learning to identify isolated problems. You are learning to understand how the whole system organises itself under movement, load, stress and intent, then choose a first input that matches what the body is showing you.

Access vs control Rotational strategies Pressure management Gait mechanics Ground interaction Foot function Ribcage and pelvis relationship Breathing mechanics Compensation strategies Tissue loading Force transfer Athletic movement patterns Movement efficiency Energy expenditure Client readiness First-layer intervention Re-observation

Movement does not exist in isolation

Movement quality is influenced by sleep, stress, recovery, inflammation, energy availability and the general health of the individual. If the body cannot recover, regulate, create blood flow or adapt, even good biomechanics will eventually hit a ceiling.

This is not a nutrition certification and it is not direct nutritional prescription. It is education on how physiology affects movement quality, coordination, tissue adaptation, learning and recovery. You will learn how to think about diet, recovery and lifestyle as part of the movement environment without stepping outside your scope.

Changing biomechanics is physical, but it also requires the right mental position

When someone has moved one way for years, new positions can feel unfamiliar, uncomfortable or even wrong. The body often wants to return to the strategy it knows. Part of the process is learning how to create change without forcing it.

Understand Resistance

Learn what can happen when a client or your own body starts moving away from old compensations and into new movement options.

Reduce Friction

Use better progressions, clearer intent and smarter entry points so change feels more accessible, not like a fight against the body.

Build Trust

Help the person feel what is changing, understand why it matters, and stay with the process long enough for the body to adapt.

A six-month certification with clear checkpoints

The pathway is six months because the goal is not just information. The goal is pattern recognition, reasoning, coaching ability and client application. The 3-month and 6-month points create clear milestones without shortening the depth of the work.

Questions people usually have before joining

When can I join?
Applications are reviewed around each intake window. Submitting an application does not guarantee immediate entry; accepted students begin with the next suitable intake and follow the 6-month pathway from the beginning.
How does intake work?
The certification runs through structured intake windows rather than casual open access. Each accepted student follows the full six-month sequence from the beginning, with live labs used to apply and refine the concepts.
Is this a certification?
Yes. Elite Motion Level 1 is an internal Elite Motion certification. It confirms you have completed the six-month process and demonstrated foundational competence in the Elite Motion applied biomechanics lens. It is not a university qualification, medical credential, rehabilitation licence or externally accredited biomechanics degree.
Are there four live calls per week?
No. The theory classes are prerecorded. The live component is the practical work. There are two 90-minute practical time slots each week, but they cover the same weekly focus. You are expected to attend one live session each week, or watch the recording and provide proof or confirmation of completion. You may attend both if you want more repetition.
Do I need to attend both practical time slots?
No. The two practical time slots are offered to make the weekly practical easier to attend across time zones. They cover the same weekly focus, so one live attendance is expected. You are allowed to attend both if you want more repetition. If you cannot attend live, watch the replay and provide proof or confirmation of completion.
What happens if I miss a practical?
The practical calls are recorded. If you miss the live practical, you are expected to watch the replay and provide proof or confirmation of completion. The live sessions are there for application, correction, video review and practical understanding.
How does the 1:1 mentoring work?
The 1:1 aspect is used to keep you clear and supported. You can book short mentoring calls inside specific booking windows, send videos or photos, and use the group spaces to get feedback on your own movement or client applications.
When can I attend the online workshop?
You become eligible for the online integration workshop once you reach the 3-month point. That way, the workshop is built on enough foundation to actually mean something.
Is this a rehab qualification?
No. This certification does not qualify you to diagnose pathology, manage acute injury or practise rehabilitation. It is designed for movement coaching, applied biomechanics reasoning and first-layer intervention within appropriate scope.
Do you cover diet and health?
Yes, but within scope. This is not a nutrition certification and it is not direct nutritional prescription. We cover how sleep, recovery, inflammation, energy availability, stress and lifestyle can influence movement, learning, tissue adaptation and performance.
Is a payment plan available?
Yes. A payment plan is available for accepted students. The standard plan is $1,000 USD per month for six months, with a community member rate available for existing members and previous students.
What happens after six months?
You complete the Level 1 pathway and move into certification integration. Students who meet the practical standard can represent themselves as Elite Motion Level 1 Certified. Students who need more time receive feedback and a development pathway.

Ready to build the lens?

Apply for the next intake and we will confirm whether the certification is the right fit for where you are now.

A clear commitment

Everything that's included, and what it costs.

Most coaches already spend thousands jumping between workshops, certifications, seminars and fragmented systems, without ever developing a clear framework for observing movement, reasoning through what is missing and choosing inputs in context. The goal of this certification is not to overload you with more disconnected information, but to help you develop a clearer process for understanding what matters, when it matters, and why. That's where the value is. That's what justifies treating this as an investment in how you coach for the rest of your career, not a one-off purchase.

Why Elite Motion

It started where most good coaching does, with my own body breaking down.

For over a decade I've been coaching athletes one-on-one. For fifteen years before that, I lived inside the world of football, biomechanics and movement as a player, a student, and an obsessive student of how the body actually works.

I've worked with athletes across Australia, Spain and Argentina, from injured weekend competitors to professionals returning to play. The pattern is always the same. The fix is almost never where they think it is.

Sebastian Coello playing football

Where the lens came from

Football was the first laboratory.

The work did not start as theory. It came from trying to understand why speed, rotation, pain, compensation and performance kept showing up together on the field and in the body.

01

Broken Leg, Broken System

A compound tibia and fibula fracture took me out of football, and exposed the limits of generic rehab.

02

The Pattern Was Bigger Than The Pain

When I came back, the injuries moved. Different joints, same cycle. That forced me to look at the body as a system, not a collection of sore parts.

03

Reading The Body, Not Just Training It

Today the work is twofold: helping active people, high performers and everyday clients rebuild trust in their body, while coaching practitioners to read structure and compensation more clearly, so they get better results with their own clients.
